Historie for ateister

Tim O'Neill som ofte signerer med Undogmatic Atheist Medievalist (og andre ganger med arrogant Irish-Australian atheist bastard) står bak historiebloggen Armarium Magnum, og har lenge vært en av mine stadig flere favorittateister.

At han ikke er nyateist skyldes nok ikke bare at han er australier, men at han har studert historie. Samtidig har han utvilsomt en debattstil som ville gjort ham til æresmedlem av mange nyateistforeninger.

Men han er samtidig redelig nok til å si fra også til sine mer eller mindre egne.

Dermed taler det Tim dess mer til ære at han i en årrekke har gått hardt og høyt ut mot påstander som at Jesus ikke har eksistert, at middelalderen var en eneste lang mørketid og at Kirken har hindret utviklingen av naturvitenskap.

Det bør ikke forundre noen at han etterhvert er blitt stemplet som femtekolonist og skapkatolikk.

Tim er ikke uventet aktiv på nettforumet badhistory, dedikert til å avsløre dårlig historie. Han har snakket lenge om å skrive en bok om dette, og har nå lagt ut en mulig innholdsfortegnelse:
